格薩爾王在藏族的傳說里是連花生大師的化身，一生戌馬，揚善抑惡，宏揚佛法，傳播文化，成為藏族人民引以為自豪的曠世英雄。格薩爾王生于公元1038年，歿于公元1119年。格薩爾一生降妖伏魔，除暴安良，南征北戰，統一了大小150多個部落，嶺國領土始歸一統。 

 According to Tibetan legends, King Gesar was the incarnation of Master Padmasambhava. He spent his whole life on fighting evil, defending goodness, preaching Buddhism and disseminating Tibetan culture. He is a great hero whom the Tibetan is tremendously proud of. King Gesar was born in AD 1038 and died in AD 1119. King Gesar spent his life on subduing demons and evil, getting rid of thugs and protecting ordinary people. Thanks to his great contribution, more than 150 tribes of different sizes were eventually united into one state.
